= letter?


Some, but certainly not all.

The email you send to your best friend from grade school, catching up on the last year, decade, whatever - that's a letter.

The email you send to a co-worker on the other side of the building with a subject line of 'lunch?' and a body of 'what time and where?' is a note, not a letter.

It would be of momentary interest to see just how many notes are passed on a (you pick the time-frame) basis, and how many letters in the same time-frame, from the same group.
