Note to self: Never prepare something in the tagine if you are HUNGRY!
My first attempt is in the oven now; slowly simmering cubes of steak (it's what was in the freezer) with potatoes, onions, mushrooms, shallots and garlic in a sauce of olive oil, cinnamon, coriander, cumin and turmeric and a handful of broccoli slaw (it looked interesting, a combination of julienned broccoli stems with red cabbage, seemed like it would be great for stir-fry), oh and a few squeezes of lemon.
This smells so good!
and I have at least 2 more hours before it's done :(
