I wasn't born to the 'me' generation, I make do with what there is available to me.

That's how *I* was raised.

Making-do isn't a bad thing, millions of people (possibly billions) on this planet make-do with a lot less.

Perhaps that's the message we should be sending to our spawn.
Make-do with what's available, don't whine about what you don't have.
