I was shocked. There was sensible content in this movie.
I watch a Jay and Silent Bob movie because I know it's going to be a few laughs, little or no plot and usually some odd bit of music that I just HAVE to look for. This one didn't disappoint me in that at all.
What surprised me was the speech given by the one called Randall, when they were in jail for the erotic intra-species show he'd arranged for his friend's bachelor party. I won't go into that bit at all, but the speech gave me some inkling of hope for parts of the next generation.
The gist of it was that his friend shouldn't be running off to marry some woman who'd dumped him years previously, only to come back begging for him to take her back and then go to Florida with her and work with her father.
I'm hearing a lot of beige in that conversation.
