Little, tiny

miniscule, diminutive people should not be so stubborn.

The child did NOT take a nap today, so we went outside and played some more.

We played her version of basket soccer, which often involves me getting hit in the knees with the ball. This is fine, the ball is soft. We also gathered and tossed whirligigs into the air to see which one would stay up the longest. She then proceeded to pick them up and place them in her hair, as best she could. This involves the death of many, many whirligigs. Finally we played 'chase the bubble shadows', one she made up because looking up at the bubbles makes her squint and she can see the shadows much better than the bubbles themselves.

She's now eating a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich, drinking juice out of a sippy cup and watching tv, by brute force. I have to do dishes and she's too mean to leave her out of the playpen while I do that.

No, I'm not afraid of her, I just know her. She's not really a BAD baby, but if an elephant came by, I'd let him take her for a ride...
