Music

and what it does to me

Okay, so not many really care about my views on music or what it is to me, or what it means to me.

I do.

And isn't that all that really matters?

What music means to anyone is a matter of personal taste, upbringing, influences and sadly for some, what happens to be hot at the moment.

To me the most exciting music is that which makes me stop in my tracks, hold my breath and LISTEN.

As I explore the world of music, I am finding that the more 'personal' a selection feels to me, the more intensely I will respond. Right this minute I'm listening (again) to an album that did just that; made me STOP and listen. And all it is is a guitar and a voice.

There are few genre that don't make me stop once in a while and listen, maybe that's why I don't make the big bucks

But that's probably another story...

it is, and a boring one.

I think I'm going to take a break and just listen.

It's been a good while since I took the time to just listen to my music collection without critiquing it to make sure it's good enough.
